MighTee Kids Review Part 1 of 3

I want to let you all know about a great company called Mightee Kids!!
Over the next 3 month i will be working with Might Kids to bring you the latest and greats causes/charities!
Mightee Kids is a wonderful organization that helps children all over the world. Mightee Kids is a monthly subscription company that specializes in offering a different children's cause/charity each month.
This month Mightee Kids is donating to Smile Train. Smile Train is focused on solving a single problem: cleft lip and cleft palate. They provide a child born with a cleft who would not have the opportunity due to income or other obstacles. This month's theme is, "Say Cheese," thanks to Smile Train and Mightee Kids, the children they help will have the confidence to Smile!

The Mission of Mightee Kids:
We want to inspire kids to love others who are less fortunate. We want them to act on what they learn. We feel that this genuine care for others starts at home, taught by parents who also know how to love and care for others. Our packages are meant to provide an experience in which parents can sit down and teach their kids of how other kids need their help. We want to not only help them donate to others, but we want to guide them to continue to keep giving and loving for their unfortunate friends.
We want to develop Mightee Kids that help others, one tee at a time.

Ain't Gracie just adorable wearing her "Say, Cheese" shirt to support this AWESOME cause?!!!
Please consider signing up for your own monthly tee-shirts to show your support!!!!

Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops Review!

The wonderful people over a Pine Bros sent a package FULL of Wild Cherry and Natural Honey Softish Throat Drops and it was just in time for yuck season! Both flavor are very yummy but I took a favoring to the Wild Cherry, they taste like candy and I had to force myself not to over indulge on them and not chew them as they work best when you let them dissolve in your mouth. There are no artificial colors or flavors in the drops and there high fructose free! These Softish Throat Drops are not medicated and are intended for dry throat relief. You can find them in most CVS stores. They come in a reusable container with a 26 drop count or a bag of 32 drop count. Other flavors available are Licorice which are limited for Holiday seasons and Lemon-Citrus which will be available next year! You can find Pro Bros Facebook, Twitter and Website by clicking the links!

Here is a little information from the source!
Ulysses S. Grant was President, the population of America hovered at 39 million, and the telephone was still a pipe dream, when in 1870 J. Herman Pine hung out a confectionery shingle on 8th Street above Walnut in Philadelphia and, along with his brother, sold their first batch of what they called 'Pine Brothers Glycerine Tablets.' In an attempt to relieve his own sore throat and those of his family members, Mr. Pine, a former German confectionery maker, determined that by combining the soothing natural qualities of glycerin with the healing properties of gum acacia, he could sooth and mitigate the mild discomfort of a sore throat. Add in some natural flavoring and a sweetener and voila, Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops were born. "I have discovered something," Pine wrote, "which will give quick throat relief to thousands afflicted as I was." He added,"Perhaps I won't make much money out of this. But I can make people happy, and that's more important than money." Mr. Pine was being unduly modest, as his "discovery" would become one of the most successful, most delicious and most unique throat lozenges in the world. Nor has the recipe changed appreciably since it was first introduced to the public over 140 years ago.
In 1930 Pine Brothers was sold to the Life Savers Company and continued to flourish. Known for its 'soft drop consistency,' Pine Brothers lozenges became a favorite of adults and children alike. The product, which attracted healthiest sales in the eastern and northern states, due to its icy winters, reached its peak popularity in the 1970's. The company was sold by Life Savers, and then, having been re-sold and acquired a number of times, found itself essentially rudderless and under appreciated; this despite a legion of loyal consumers. Cost cutting changes were made to the original recipes, packaging became stale and marketing non-existent; Pine Brothers began to be made overseas. Sales declined.
Recently, Pine Brothers was acquired by the creator and former owner of Airborne, Victoria Knight-McDowell, for her new company 3 Sisters Home Products™. Much time and effort has been spent locating the original Pine Brothers recipes, redesigning the packaging, and creating an exciting yet classic new look. Pine Brothers is once again being made in America, and was launched nationally in fall 2011. And indeed, old Mr. Pine has succeeded yet again in "making people happy." God bless him!

You can't understand unless you've been there....

So I've been a little emotional, I found out that my high school best friends little brother and his wife lost their son(first child) to stillbirth. As respect for them i wont go into details or name names. Soon as I got the news from my friend my heart sank so deep and i was back there... back in that hospital room hooked up to that damn sonogram machine that wouldn't swoosh no matter how hard I prayed to God to make it swoosh.. he was dead. My son was DEAD. Even though I don't know my friends sister in law I wanted to jump in the car and go let her know its OK to be pissed and angry and hate the world, its OK to break anything and everything in your way smash it, bust it, destroy it!! I want to tell her people are going to say things that hurt so bad and they don't understand why, they may think their comforting you with a "you can try again" or "it happen for a reason" and your going to wanna punch their face in. You may fall so deep into a depression you feel as though you can't go on living, or you may turn cold and not even talk about him. Its been over 2 years since we lost our baby boy and not a day goes by I don't think of him or shed a tear for him. His urn sits on the shelf over my spot on the couch, his photo is the first thing you see when you walk in the door, he is my son..my only son and I'm so proud of him. Some people have are hard time with me displaying his photo or his things, he was beautiful and those things are all I have of him. Losing a child is one of the hardest things to go through spiritually I questioned God hourly I cursed God daily I hated God for taking my baby away, I lost my faith. I wanted so badly to see my son in my dreams and God wouldn't even allow that, I dreamt of the situation, I dreamt I was pregnant with him but I was never allowed to see his face in my dreams, I slept a lot just hoping I could see his face and hold him. It wasn't until recently that I was blessed with holding him in my dreams. When I woke up I cried and held my Gracie so tight and thanked God for my living children. I'm not sure if losing your first child to stillbirth is harder then losing a child when you have already had one, the joy you already know is stolen from you, but yet the joy you never knew as a first timer was stolen and you never knew it. Either way its beyond words to describe the pain. I honestly don't even know if I'm making since to you through my tears. This is the first time iv really blogged about him since his story, its a touchy subject to write about and iv been so fearful to go there with you. So for now this is all that I can bring myself to say.

Guest Post-How to Educate Your Child Early

Every time that you have a free minute with your child, you have an opportunity to help them learn. From the moment they are born, your child is on a quest to learn everything they can about the world around them. What you are choosing to teach them is entirely up to you.
That does not mean that you have to drill them with flashcards nonstop or make them recite facts whenever you are in the car. Instead, you can use play to teach new information and lessons so that they are learning and having fun at the same time. There are so many different ways to do that, not only with common household objects and toys as well as with the specialized items.
A trip to the grocery store is one of the easiest ways to sneak in a little bit of learning. For instance, you can play a game of car color bingo- Jimmy looks for green cars, Susie looks for white ones and David is looking for red cars. Older kids could look for certain words on road signs or could even read each sign as they come to them. It keeps the kids occupied, they are learning and everyone is interacting with one another.
Once at the store the education can continue. Discuss the foods you are choosing with your children- ask about the color, texture or the type of food it is. Ask "is this a dairy food?" and other questions, for instance. Have the children compare two foods for length, width and weight, having them guess which will be biggest and then finding out whether they were right or wrong.
There are games you can play, even with simple household items. Use measuring cups in the bathtub to allow your child to learn about measuring and cause and effect. Let them tell you how many cups of water will fit in the little red bucket and then get the answer for themselves. There is no mess and the kids enjoy themselves while getting clean and smart at the same time!
Toys and games can be educational as well and the kids will never know they are learning anything new. It is a lot of fun to have a toddler ask for a blue shirt and then actually be able to show you which one is blue or to ask for his juice in a different language. When they learn through play, kids tend to pick up the information faster and retain it for much longer. Play is the easiest and best way for your child to learn and they will thrive on it. Help them get ahead in their life by providing a wide range of educational toys to supplement the other toys they have. Make sure that you are always relaxed and encouraging about the process or the children will stress out and no one will be having any fun at all. Let them first be children and the rest will fall into place.

The Sweet Magnolia Day Spa and Salon!!

 Professional Business Review

I few months back i had the opportunity to review a Salon called The Sweet Magnolia Day Spa and Salon. This review would have been posted a lot sooner but due to some unforeseen circumstances i had to delay the review. I was unable to take them up on all the wonderful offers that were bestowed upon me! The owner Tawyna Jenkins is such an amazing women with a heart of gold. The atmosphere in the salon is nothing less then what you would except from a little one horse country town, full of manors and lots of gossip! As most people who know me in person I'm a pretty shy gal, a watcher if you will. I sit back and watch people before i interact with them maybe that is the competitor in me, needing to know what I'm going up against, sounds silly but this chick's gears are always grinding lol... Anyhow Tawyna did my hair and Mandy did my manicure and pedicure. Let's start with my hair shall we. I was a ball of nerves as i had not cut my hair since i was pregnant with my son back in 2009!!! So my hair was pretty long as you can see here in the before shot!
Like i said i was a bag of nerves. The last time i had my hair cut was back in 09 and i cried for days, the stylist had cut 13 inches and i was not happy with my style at all. But Tawyna made me very comfortable it was like having my hair done by my mother. I let her do whatever she wanted. Tawyna cut 16 and 1/2 inches off my head and gave me a great style, she used foils to put 3 different colors in such as brown, reds and blonde.

Here is the end result and I'm in love with  my new hair!!

Now on to my manicure and pedicure.
Mandy of Nails by Amanda did them and she is awesome at what she does!!!
My poor feet were very neglected i had severe build up of hard skin and my ingrown toe nails were at their peck of super pain, Mandy was gentle but at the same time getting in there and getting the job done!!
I just need to say i feel that people who do pedicures are way under paid!!!
